When taking your next road trip, in addition to packing your luggage, there are certain items you MUST have for your car! Trust me, I know. This winter I drove 2,600 miles from New York to Florida (on 1/2 of the trip I was the only parent) and just returned from a LONNNGGG ride up to Maine, and back. We even took this show on the international road, driving up to Montreal! Stocking your car with the essentials will keep the kids, and parents happy! So keep reading for my road trip packing list, and be sure to stock the car before you hit the road!
A Guide to New Smyrna Beach Florida
Now that Momma To Go has been up for about a year and a half, some friends (and family) have asked about sharing their travel experiences with my readers. Today I am so excited to have a guest post by Heather, who I met through our work on the Hometown Tourist Project! Heather is a New Smyrna Beach Photographer, and she is sharing a guide to her hometown, as well as her gorgeous photography!
Of course now I have another place to add to my MUST-VISIT list!

A Visit to the New York Hall of Science
One of my favorite NYC things to do is a visit to the New York Hall of Science located in the borough of Queens. When little man was small, we lived just a few miles away from the Hall of Science. For many years we had a membership and would visit often – mostly to play in the Preschool play space. Since moving to Long Island we have only been back to the Hall of a Science a few times, but we were excited to be recently invited to come check it out!
Momma to Go (and especially little man and baby girl) would like to thank the New York Hall of Science for hosting our visit. We were given member passes which included complimentary parking and coat check. As always, all opinions are my own.

Things to do in Dutchess County with kids
Last March, at the Philadelphia Travel and Adventure Show, I met a rep from the Dutchess County tourism board. I have family in the Poughkeepsie area, and visit up there twice a year – for New Year’s Eve, and to run the Dutchess County Classic in the fall. We got to talking, about that race, and funny enough the woman I met at the travel show was also involved in organizing the race! Funny how life connects like that.
One of my favorite things about traveling, writing and blogging is the connections made with others. So, I was so excited when the Dutchess County tourism board invited little man and I to come up for a night (they wanted us to stay longer – but we are so busy in the spring, isn’t everyone?) and explore some of the great activities Dutchess County has to offer. SPOILER ALERT: We LITERALLY had the best time on this trip, and I am so excited to share all the great things to do in Dutchess County with kids. This is a long weekend getaway you want to plan right now!
Momma To Go (and little man) would like to thank the Dutchess County Tourism board for sponsoring this trip. As always, all opinions are my own.

How to Apply for TSA Pre-Check
When we came back from our awesome Holland America cruise, we flew home from Ft. Lauderdale International Airport. Since we used a Delta companion ticket for little man’s seat, his reservation was linked to my husband’s – who had just gone thru the process of applying for, and receiving TSA pre-check. Little man and hubby had pre-check on their tickets and baby girl and I did not. Literally, it took us 20 minutes longer to get through the security! All while they were waiting on the other side for us. Obviously, I needed to get in on the TSA action so I finally went to today to complete my TSA application! I am so excited to have TSA precheck and I am so excited to share with you how to apply for TSA precheck!

Waffatopia: Unique Food Gifts
Have you ever eaten something, let’s say at a restaurant, or maybe a Travel & Adventure Show, and you can’t stop thinking about it??
Please tell me it’s not just me!
Well, back in March, I attended the Philadelphia Travel and Adventure show. I stumbled, hungrily, upon the Waffatopia booth. I had a free sample, and then after tasting how delicious they were, opted to buy a Banana & Nutella waffle.
And I could not stop thinking about it!
Seriously.
It was so good. SO. GOOD.
So when Waffatopia offered to send me a box of their delicious, can-be-delivered-to-you-by-mail waffles, I was like YES, PLEASE! Not only are these treats delicious, they are the perfect unique food gift! I am so excited to introduce the Momma To Go readers to Waffatopia!
Momma To Go (especially my kids, and sister, and cousin, and hubby) would like to thank Waffatopia for sending along one of the their care package boxes for purpose of this review. As always, all opinions are my own.

Review of Holland America’s ms Veendam Ship
We love to travel, explore new places, often visiting friends and family. But with our crazy fall, me sick then working full time (thankfully just temporarily – but it was crazy). I knew I wanted to do a real VACATION over spring break. I wanted to sit in a lounge chair, drink margaritas and relax!
And we knew a cruise would be the PERFECT way to check all those boxes!
Needless to say, we had a fabulous time. Honestly, probably our best trip yet! I have so many great cruise tips to share, but today I am giving you a review of the ms Veednam ship and cruising on the Holland America Cruise line!

Book To Inspire Family Wanderlust
When I was a kid, I had a huge map of the world next to my bed. I used to stare at it for hours and dream of all the faraway places I hoped to visit. Which, if you know me should come as no surprise!
I still love to stare at a map, this time with intentional “where should we go next” wanderlust. During our recent cruise, I actually spent a crazy amount of time with the Holland America cruise view book they left in our stateroom, dreaming of all the sea adventures I hope to take someday (113-day around the world trip anyone?).
I also follow several families, through their websites, who are traveling around the world – with kids in tow. So when Bloomsbury approached me to check out an advanced copy of their new book, Where the Magic Happens: How a Young Family Changed Their Lives and Sailed Around the World, I was intrigued by the title alone!
Today I’m excited to share my review of this autobiography, and keep reading for your chance to snag an autographed copy!
Momma To Go would like to thank Bloomsbury Publishing for an advance copy of this book. As always all opinions are my own.

Planning a trip to Iceland
One of the great side effects of being a seasoned traveler, and travel blogger, is that friends and family often ask me to help them plan their trips. (I really need to become an agent, its something I am thinking of doing – any advice on this definitely welcome). So when a friend recently asked for help planning a trip to Iceland, of course I was happy to get to work! Since I had already done the legwork, and put together a great list of must-do activities, I figured I would turn my research into an article to share with you.
