MSC is the largest cruise company in Europe, and other parts of the world, and in the last 5 years, this cruise line has been trying to break into the North American market. MSC offers gorgeous ships, exotic itineraries at a fantastic price for all guests, but they also have perfected the ship within a ship experience with their yacht club. Last week, my family had the most fun sailing on the worlds largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the seas. This ship just started service in January 2024, and is sailing week long itineraries out of Miami, Florida. I know in our area there has been a ton of commercials for the ship and lots of posts on social media, but is the Icon of the Seas really worth the hype and the high price tag? The Scarlet Lady has recently set sail! Back in September 2021, I had the pleasure of touring her from top to bottom, spending an incredible day aboard this new, adults only cruise ship. My first cruise in 2021 was aboard Holland America’s Nieuw Amsterdam and it was a great sailing. Our itinerary was a seven night cruise, round trip out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
