Summer 2020 has been a weird roller coaster for all of us. Instead of my kids going to their beloved summer camp, and our family spending most of our time at our local pool club, we ended up driving to SW FL and spending over two months in the sunshine state. Not what I originally planned, but with trying to make lemons out of lemonade, I found myself with the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World for two days during the pandemic. Certainly not for everyone, but I wanted to share my experience of what we did and how it went. LEGOLAND Florida Water Park Tips – Everything You Need To Know Before you Go

I’m not sure I know a bigger LEGO fan than my daughter – she is an 8-year old master builder! She LOVES LEGO Friends and has an entire IKEA shelf FULL of her LEGO sets. And as you know, our family loves water parks! So, we were so excited on our recent Orlando trip to be invited to check out LEGOLAND Florida and especially to visit the LEGOLAND Florida water park!

What to expect at the Reopening of Disney Springs

We have been in Florida for four weeks, and recently traveled to Orlando from Naples in Southwest Florida. Normally our Orlando trips are family and theme parked packed, and although we are doing Island H2O Live later this week, and Legoland Florida Water park later this summer, on our recent visit Walt Disney World theme parks were still closed. So yesterday afternoon the kids and I headed over to Disney Springs for some lunch and shopping. It was an interesting experience, and I am excited to share a little bit about our day with you.

Tips for Spending Only One Day at Disney World

One of the things I love about Disney is there are so many ways “to do it.” At Walt Disney World alone there are four theme parks, countless restaurants, resorts, park-hopping, character meals, Disney Springs, dining plans – you could stay for a month or like we recently did, visit just for one day! There is so much to see and do, that no matter how much time you have you can’t see it all. But if you only have a short stay, you definitely want to maximize your time, so I’m sharing my best tips for spending only one day at Disney World!

Everglades Airboat Tour with Wild Florida

We are so lucky to be able to visit Orlando Florida often! My cousin lives there, and her kids are around the same age as mine. They adore each other and we love exploring Orlando together. In the past, we all visited Legoland Florida (twice), Chef Mickey Brunch, the Orlando Eye, Aquatica and the Orlando Crayola Experience. So when planning this recent Florida trip, we were trying to think of something unique to do. My cousin suggested we try an Everglades Airboat Tour and I knew this was something my kids would love! Orlando Crayola Experience

I hate winter, so to combat the long stretch of cold ahead, I decided to book a fall Florida getaway with baby girl. We love visiting Orlando – both to escape the cold and to visit our Florida cousins. Every time we visit Orlando, we always find new things to do! My family loves visiting Orlando! We are so lucky to have cousins who live there – to hang out with and explore all the city has to offer! In Orlando, we are always looking for new things to do, and I have had my eye on an Aquatica visit for a while. I was so excited to be invited to check out this water park on my recent Florida trip!

Things to do in Orlando Besides Disney

I hate the winter. I hate the cold, and the snow, and temperatures that prevent outdoor activity. I love the warm, and the sun, and to be outside as much as possible. So to combat the winter blues, I’ve realized that I need to head south several times each winter.

It’s essential for my survival.

I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Orlando twice in the last two months. Both trips were awesome and I love that we got to experience some of the lesser known attractions. Yes, most people head to Orlando for Disney or Universal but there are lots of things to do in Orlando besides Walt Disney World!
