Last week, I had the pleasure of being invited to sail on the Regent Seven Seas Splendor – the world most luxurious cruise ship. This was my host agency’s annual top agent retreat and we sailed the Spotlight on History Itinerary to England, Belgium and France. I had the most incredible experience on board and I cannot wait to share more about this ship and luxury cruise line.

What is Regent Seven Seas Cruise Line?
Regent Seven Seas is a luxury, six star cruise experience. Their ships sail to six continents and visit over 300 ports. They aim to provide guests with a true luxury cruising experience.
My Regent Splendor Itinerary
The itineraries on Regent Splendor are varied. I did the Spotlight on History itinerary. This was an 8 night sailing. We left from Southampton, United Kingdom and sailed to the north of France and Belgium. We also stopped at Guernsey, which is part of the British Isles.
With Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the excursions are all included. There are also daily talks on board about the historical aspects of the areas we were visiting.
I love that there are so many themed cruises. On a Regent Seven Seas sailing, you are really immersing in the destination. I have also heard that Regent Seven Seas is one of the best lines to sail to Alaska.
Regent Seven Seas also provides many overnight experiences in certain ports. We spent two nights in Honfleur, France. For this port my husband and I decided to take the train to Paris for a romantic getaway.
We also spent an overnight in Cherbourg, France so we were able to visit the D-Day landing beaches one day and Mont Saint Michele the second day.
How many Guests are on Regent Splendor?
The ship is not that small, not like when I was on the Ama Dara with 120 guests, but the Regent Splendor only holds 750 passengers, so no crowds here. Very opposite from our recent cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, the worlds’ largest cruise ship!

How Old is the Regent Splendor?
The Regent Splendor is very new, this ship has only been in service 2020.
Cabins on the Regent Splendor
All rooms on the Regent Splendor are ocean balcony suites and higher.
Our suite on the Regent Splendor was incredible. We had a full bath with a walk-in shower, a large closet area, a king size bed, and then a sitting area with a desk, couch and table. On the veranda, we had two chairs.
We also had a fully stocked minibar. Bottles of filtered water were provided daily.
Regent Splendor also has concierge suites which come with a bathtub, a larger sitting area, a coffee maker, and some other perks.
Dining on Board the Regent Splendor
The dining on Regent Splendor was incredible. For dinners, you have your choice of main dining in the Compass Rose, which is the nicest main dining room I’ve ever seen on a cruise ship, and the selections were plentiful.
The specialty restaurants include Pacific Rim for Asian food, Chartreuse for French food, and Prime7 for steaks. Those specialty dining restaurants require reservations, but are included with your cruise fare.
In the evening the buffet named La Veranda also turns into an Italian restaurant called Sette Mare , which is walk in only.
There is also 24 hour room service included on Regent Seven Seas. And we definitely enjoyed that room service breakfast!
Each night we put out the form to order, and breakfast arrived each morning, hot and on time.
For lunch, you have the option of dining ala carte in the Compass Rose, or you can choose to dine by the pool grill. Also there is a buffet, La Veranda.
Each day a specialty restaurant will be open for lunch. Check the daily program to see which venue it will be.
Lastly, for breakfast you can order room service to your suite, or visit the buffet or Compass Rose, the main dining room.
And don’t forget the coffee shop on deck 5, that serves drinks and small snacks.
What is included in your Regent seven Seas Cruise?
Ultra-luxury cruises include different amenities, and you do have to keep that in mind when you look at the upfront cost. You should always book your cruise vacation with a travel agent to go over all the options and make sure you have the right cruise line/ship/itinerary for you.
Regent Seven Seas includes all restaurants and you can dine at each as many times as you would like.
All drinks are included.
They also include Wi-Fi for one device per cabin.
Daily laundering and pressing is included as well.
And of course the amazing excursions. Prior to your cruise you can choose from a list of shore excursions. Some are included and the longer ones have a small charge.
Regent Seven Seas Pro Tip: if you do not get the excursion you want at first, be sure to put yourself on the waitlist. I got off the waitlist for every excursion that I couldn’t get in the first round.
Life on Board the Regent Splendor
The Regent Splendor is 14 decks large. There is a full pool area with two hot tubs. There is a full spa and fitness center. There is also a large theater where they have nightly entertainment.
On board you will find several lounges where you can get drinks and where you will find entertainment in the evening.
Tips for Sailing on the Regent Splendor
I know you will have the best time on the Regent splendor and when you book your vacation with me, I help you with all the tips and tricks to maximize your time on board. But here are a few things to consider if you are sailing on the Regent Splendor.
Order the cronut of the day either at Coffee Connection or write it into your room service breakfast order. I also saw them in the buffet!
Prime 7, Pacific Rim and Chartreuse need reservations. You can make them in advance or once on board at the dining desk
At Prime 7 be sure to try the popcorn sundae and 14 layer chocolate cake!
Sette Mare Restaurant is first come, first serve. Note Sette Mare was not open every night, so keep that in mind.
Compass Rose is the main dining room. For dinner, there are no set times and no reservations- come anytime you would like to dine.
Go find the Infinity pool off the back of the ship. Enter through the spa. Go thru the locker rooms, through the thermal area.
Buffet has some self-serve foods, but they will also bring over your omelet or any cooked to order food. Nice that you don’t have to stand there waiting.
Regent Splendor Pro Tip: The breakfast buffet does do Benedict’s/poached eggs – this wasn’t advertised but we inquired.
Ala Carte Lunch at is at offered Prime 7 or Chartreuse- it alternates, so check the program for daily times.
Regent Seven Seas Splendor does not use an app so be sure to read the literature left in your suite each evening.
Sign up for cooking classes like you would a shore excursion.
On the Regent Splendor, the Thermal spa is open for anyone to use. You don’t have to have a treatment booked.
Regent Seven Seas Dress Code – No shorts or jeans can be worn after 6pm. Men need Collared shirts in the evening. This was strictly enforced.
On the Regent Splendor there is a small casino on board. The on board currency is US dollars.
Don’t miss the Block party – one night, the staff comes around to all the suites to pour wine. You come out to the hall to meet your neighbors. It’s so fun!
Regent Splendor Review
I had the most incredible week on board the Regent Splendor. I could not get over how beautiful the rooms were and how beautiful and elegant the ship is.
What really blew me away was how amazing the service was, and of course the food. I am vegetarian and they were tons of options for me and the staff was so accommodating.
Regent Seven Seas itineraries are so interesting. This Spotlight on History itinerary gave us such an immersive look into the destinations. I loved the shore excursions. It was a busy cruise, but we learned so much!
