Despite having been to Italy several times, including studying there for six months in college, I had never been to Venice! On my most recent Italy trip, a few days in Venice was at the top of my must see list. Venice also seemed like the perfect place to visit with the kids. And it did not disappoint, we all had such much fun exploring this unique city and I am so excited to share my top things to do in Venice with Kids.

Things to in Milan with Kids – A Three Day Itinerary
I love Milan. I have been several times now and on our most recent visit, we got to really explore all over the city! I think Milan is often overlooked by tourists, despite having so much to see and do. I love the city atmosphere and the cosmopolitan feel of Milan. My family had a great visit and I’m so excited to share things to do in Milan with kids and a three day itinerary to help you plan your next trip!

The Best Family Cooking Class in Milan: Cook in Milano
Back when I visited Italy in 2017, my sister, aunt, uncle and I took an amazing cooking class near Lake Como (arranged by my favorite Italy destination specialists, Exclusively Italy). When planning this recent trip to Northern Italy with my kids, I knew I wanted to do another cooking experience somewhere! Through extensive research for a family friendly cooking class, I was so lucky to find Clara, and Cook in Milano.

Italian Gift Ideas and The Best Italian Gift Baskets You Can Make Yourself
I love giving gifts, I love finding unique things the recipient would love. Sometimes, it makes sense to do a basket of smaller things, as opposed to one big present. Of course those need to fit a theme, or have a common thread. Since I love Italy, and all things Italian, I thought I’d put together some fun ideas for creating Italian Gift Baskets for your friends and family! These would also make GREAT teacher gifts as well. Keep reading for the best Italian Gift Ideas!

2017 Travel Recap
It feels so cliché to say I can’t believe 2017 is coming to a close, but it’s so true! I literally just sat down to write my 2016 travel recap and yeah, here it is a year later!
Despite a crazy, three-week long sickness, and working my tail off in the later part of this year, 2017 has been very good to me. Especially travel-wise. Which is definitely not coincidental. I have been on a mission to create the life I want to live – doing things I enjoy both personally and professionally. Which certainly includes the flexibility to be on the go!
Work-wise I continued to grow my math tutoring business, I worked all summer at camp and had the best time! Writing and creating this site has taught me so much, and I hope to really expand Momma To Go in 2018. My plan is to set some goals and get myself in a better working schedule balancing writing, social sharing and updating old posts. I’ve been learning more and more about SEO and hope to do some writing outside of Momma To Go!
Last year, at this same time, I recapped my 2016 travel year. A year, which brought a three-week trip to Hawaii, was hard to top, but we tried! So here is my 2017 Travel Year in Review!
2017 Travel Recap:
Italian Wine Tasting near Verona: Cantina Bretagna
There are so many things to love about Italy. The coffee, the food, the historic sights… but one of my favorites, is the wine! I love Prosecco, a cold white wine on the piazza, or a deep red with a big bowl of pasta. Yes, only in Italy can I tolerate … no enjoy, red wine.
So when our awesome DMC at Exclusively Italy arranged for us a vineyard tour and wine tasting, I knew this was going to be a highlight of our trip!

Happy May everyone! The end of April has me super excited because I hit OVER 1500 page views for the month, way exceeding my goal of 1000! Almost doubling my March numbers! I have been putting in a lot more time to my site and am super proud of some of my April posts such as A Day in Verona, the Best Big Island Beaches and a review of our trip to The Museum of Mathematics! I also wrote my first guest post for 101 Food Travel, an article about the amazing cooking class we took in Northern Italy. You can read that here.
So I guess my favorite thing this month was my readers (that’s you!) but I still have an actual list of Stuff I have been loving this month.

Verona Day Trip
For my fortieth birthday, my sister, aunt, uncle and I headed to Northern Italy for a week of sightseeing, eating and celebrating. We were based in the small town of Lecco, situated on Lake Como. Each day we ventured out on various trips, and my favorite was our Verona Day Trip.

Spring is here and March was a great month! I went to North Carolina for a long weekend to celebrate Grandpa’s 105th birthday, and then spent a week in Italy to ring in my 40th. Little man turned 8 and well, spring in the air!
Here is what I have been loving this month:
