Two Collaborations
UPDATE: AS OF OCTOBER 2017, MOMMA TO GO IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING GUEST POSTS.
May was a super busy blogging month for me! I wrote about Hawaii, Wine Tasting in both Italy and Long Island, the best beach essentials, tips for flying with your little ones, among other fun things. I also participated in TWO Awesome collaborations.
Stuff I Love: May 2017
May has been a crazy month, I’ve been working a lot, blogging a lot and I finally seem to be settling into a better posting schedule for this site. I’ve posted not ONE, but TWO sponsored posts (Kids Email and Tips for Effective Project Management). I also had my first sponsored travel opportunity when hubby and I visited Bedell Cellars a couple of weeks ago.
Wow, May was crazy!
But I did have time to find a few new things I am digging this May. Here is my May Stuff I love list.
STUFF I LOVE: MAY 2017
Wine Tasting Long Island: A Visit to Bedell Cellars
I live in a suburb of New York City. We can be in Manhattan in less than an hour train ride. We live about a 10 minute drive to the closest ocean beach. And in less than two hours, we can drive out to the North Fork of Long Island – rich with farms, marinas, and lots and lots of vineyards!
On the East End of Long Island, there are so many wineries and tasting rooms to visit. About three years ago we discovered the best spot for Wine Tasting on Long Island – Bedell Cellars. We had been longing to return, and I was super excited to recently be hosted by Bedell for an afternoon of wine tasting and a behind the scenes tour of their amazing facility.

Beach Vacation Must Haves
Beach Packing.
I am definitely an expert in getting a family ready for the beach and on to the sand!
Little man has a March birthday, and I started taking him to the beach his very first summer. When he was 5 months old, we spent a week at the Outer Banks with #thegirlfriends. We are so lucky to travel often to Atlantic City, NJ and Naples, FL; and to have spent last August in Hawaii. But we are even luckier that we live a 10-minute drive from an Atlantic Ocean beach!
We love hitting the beach as a family, and here are our Beach Vacation must haves for any family beach trip!

KidsEmail
Little man is about to finish second grade. Word on the street is that third grade is when things start to get real. There is a big jump for the kids in terms of academics, standardized testing and homework. I’ve also heard that third grade is when it is common for kids to start communicating electronically. Sending emails and texts, using iMessenger, stuff like that.
I’m not sure I’m ready for all of this!
My kids currently have wi-fi connected iPads, which they use to play games, watch pre-downloaded movies, and to watch videos on YouTube. We do not allow games that offer the option to play against real people, or communicate with others out in cyberspace. We carefully monitor what they watch on YouTube.
