I love visiting Naples Florida – the beaches are incredible, the weather is always great, and there are so many things to do – truly something for everyone. Another thing I love about this area – so many great restaurants. Naples is definitely a foodie town. And on top of delicious meals to be had, so there are so many great Naples restaurants on the water. That’s right, so many accessible spots for beachfront dining, and meals with a sunset view!
My Favorite Naples Restaurants on the Water
The Naples area has something for everyone – amazing beaches, unique things to do, and great restaurants. I love a Southwest Florida sunset cocktail and eating outside almost year round. There are some amazing restaurants situated right on the beach, or on the water. I have been to most of these, and have a few more to try out on my next Naples trip. From Bonita Springs and North Naples, down to Tin City – here are the best Naples Restaurants on the Water!
The Best North Naples Restaurants on the Water
Doc’s Beach House
Doc’s Beach House is a great option for a casual, on-the-beach atmosphere. Very family friendly environment and menu. We love to stop at Docs after a day at Barefoot Beach.
At Docs, you can dine inside or out on the beach. Our kids love eating here, and parents love relaxing with a beer in the sand.
Coconut Jack’s Waterfront Grille
If you are visiting Barefoot Beach, you will pass right by Coconut Jack’s on the way. In fact, this would be the perfect post beach day food stop!
Located on the bay with lots of outdoor seating, Coconut Jack’s serves up typical bar food with an emphasis on fresh seafood and good cocktails.
Coconut Jack’s is located on Bonita Beach Road and can be accessed by car or boat.
We recently ate here after a day at Delnor-Wiggins Pass park. The kids loved the virgin pina coladas and we loved our cocktails. I had a Tito’s Cucumber Lemonade which was so refreshing!
All of their mixes, salad dressings, and hot sauce are house made. Plus the service was great, the servers were so friendly and this is just a great place to hang after a beach trip!
The Bay House
This is one of the few on this list I have not been to – yet! My friend Ali from Mom Explores SW Florida mentioned The Bay House to me and it’s been on the list for my next trip.
This Southern Style Seafood restaurant is located in North Naples on the Cocohatchee River. It is a little tucked away, you can access the restaurant on Walkerbilt Road, just west of Route 41. This upscale restaurant would be the perfect place for a date night, and there is also live entertainment!
July 2020 UPDATE – we ate here a few nights ago and CANNOT wait to go back. The food was so amazing! Very interesting menu, great wine and great service. We sat out on the deck overlooking the river and there is indoor dining as well as a front patio with a fire pit.
Baleen
Baleen is a great date night option for mom and dad. Come early for a sunset drink at the tiki-bar and stay for dinner on the beach. On our most recent visit to Naples, we were so excited to finally check out Baleen!
Located at the La Playa Hotel (one of the best resorts in Naples) this a spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We started the night with yummy cocktails overlooking the beach. You can enjoy drinks out at the fire pits as well. We then moved onto dinner, right on the beach!
I definitely have to give a shout out to the delicious vegetarian entrée – actually it was vegan and gluten free. This coconut curry was amazing, I love when high end restaurants put thought into their vegetarian option – not just offer some lame default pasta dish.
The Turtle Club
The Turtle Club is a place my parents like to go often. To get a coveted sunset hour reservation, you have to book very far in advance (like months). I recently tried to get a reservation for one night in February and the entire month was booked up!
But a great meal, and on the beach – you can see why tables here book up fast! It’s also very small. This restaurant is located at the Vanderbilt Beach Resort.
July 2020 UPDATE: We all ate here on July 7, 2020, for our 13 year anniversary. And friends, it was amazing! Worth the wait for the reservation and lived up to the hype!
We had a 7:45 reservation for a 8:20 sunset. We arrived early (there is valet parking) and were seated right away. There is actually a kids menu, and the kids liked eating on the beach. I wouldn’t normally bring our kids on a fancy anniversary dinner, but we are have traveled to Southwest Florida this summer and have no sitters available!
The service, food and atmosphere at the Turtle Club was amazing, the perfect spot for this special dinner. The Turtle Club also went out of their way to make our night special, and we will for sure be back.
Gumbo Limbo at the Ritz Carlton
We love visiting Gumbo Limbo at the Ritz Carlton – it’s our go-to sunset watching spot. I love a good cocktail al fresco. But Gumbo Limbo also serves lunch and dinner.
This bar/restaurant is long and narrow, for maximum sunset viewing seating! The seating is first come, first serve, and is open to hotel and non-hotel guests.
Heading to SWFL? Let me do all the planning. I know all the hotels and the insider spots. I can put together a great hotel/flight/car package as well! Plus, I do not charge any fees for a trip like this.
The Best Naples Restaurants on the Water
MiraMare
MiraMare is an Italian restaurant that is such a hidden gem on the water in Venetian Bay. We love dining here both for the food and the views. You can dine on the patio overlooking the bay, or inside if the weather isn’t cooperating!
I love the penne arrabiata at Mira Mare. All the pasta is homemade, so there are many great choices. We have eaten here with the children as well, they will make smaller portions for the little ones.
T-Michael’s
T-Michael’s restaurant is located next to MiraMare in the Venetian Bay shopping center. This is my parents all-time favorite Naples restaurant if you love steak and seafood, this gets a big thumbs up from my parents.
2023 UPDATE: I finally got to dine here in 2023! I am a vegetarian and they have a few vegan items on their menu. My parents and daughter loved the steak/seafood options, and I loved my vegan pasta. Great ambiance, a must try in Naples, Florida.
M Waterfront Grille
Hubby and I ate at M Watrfront Grille a few years ago, and we had a great date night meal. We sat overlooking the bay so not exactly a sunset view, but a beautiful restaurant none the less. In nicer weather, you can dine outdoors, in fact there are five seating options – the Verandah, Main Dining Room, M Lounge, Alfresco and the Terrace.
Tin City
Down in Naples, there is some great waterfront dining in the Tin City shopping area. Situated on the Gordon River, we loved visiting Tin City when we did our Pure Naples Boat tour. On that trip we stopped in for some shopping and ice cream, but there are two waterfront dining options here:
Pinchers – Pinchers is a crab lovers paradise! Although they do have a full menu. Also, worth noting that kids eat free here! There are several Pinchers locations in Florida, but the one at Tin City has waterfront dining on their outdoor patio.
Riverwalk – Riverwalk is a land and sea restaurant is serving up tropical delicacies and fresh seafood. Dine indoors or enjoy those great water views on the outdoor deck. I need to get back to Tin City to try out some of these dining options!

What better way to end a day in the Florida sun with a meal overlooking the water – again this is not a privilege reserved for the rich and famous! With this great list, anyone can find a menu or restaurant to enjoy!

I love dining with a view! I’m always on the lookout for fun places to eat. I will keep these in mind on our Florida trips!
I know! We actually have some waterfront dining here in Long Island, but our season is so short. In Naples, you can dine outside all year round.
These sound like great waterfront restaurants in Naples! Especially the Turtle Club sunset hour reservation- thanks for the tip!
yes, I definitely need to plan better my next trip. its hard to snag a reservation
Naples is a place that I have yet to visit! Eating on the waterfront only seems natural when going to a place as beautiful as Naples! Thanks for sharing these great ideas on where to dine!
its the best, you should definitely check it out
Naples looks really lovely and I like the variety of waterfront restaurants especially Pinchers. I’ll be at home with the crabs and it’s great kids eat free too.
I still need to try that place. Hopefully next time
These all look like amazing options! We love dining outdoors but by the water can’t be beat!!
