As my readers know, I am always planning my next trip! I do love the planning process and putting the pieces of a trip together, but I also love the prospect of a one-stop shop. Last year, we took a big 3-week trip to Hawaii, which was really our first big adventure. Recently, I’ve been flying a lot. In January I went to Cary, North Carolina and Ft. Myers, Florida. Hubby and I love the thrill of getting a low plane fare- we have lots of great tips and tricks for getting cheap & free flights (Which I really need to share soon!). We are lucky to have three airports that serve our area, LaGuardia, JFK and Islip-MacArthur. That alone gives us lots of travel options – but with all things being equal we always try to fly out of JFK. There are so many options to get there, it’s really the most convenient for us. And for that reason, people are always asking me about getting from JFK to Manhattan, or about transportation from JFK to NYC! I travel to Cary, North Carolina about four times a year. My grandpa, age 106.5 lives there, as do my two aunts who are some of my favorite people in the world. There is so much to do in Cary, it is easy to get around and the people are so friendly! I love this area so much! I would love to live here permanently, but for now I have to settle for frequent visits! I hate winter, so to combat the long stretch of cold ahead, I decided to book a fall Florida getaway with baby girl. We love visiting Orlando – both to escape the cold and to visit our Florida cousins. Every time we visit Orlando, we always find new things to do! On this recent trip, we spent a day at Legoland Florida and a day at Aquatica Orlando, so we wanted some indoor fun, so we decided to check out the Orlando Crayola Experience!
Considering we just survived a BombCyclone and the latest Polar Vortex, its safe to say winter is here.
