There are so many things to love about Italy. The coffee, the food, the historic sights… but one of my favorites, is the wine! I love Prosecco, a cold white wine on the piazza, or a deep red with a big bowl of pasta. Yes, only in Italy can I tolerate … no enjoy, red wine.
So when our awesome DMC at Exclusively Italy arranged for us a vineyard tour and wine tasting, I knew this was going to be a highlight of our trip!
Last summer, we spent two weeks exploring the Big Island with kids. We did so many awesome things, I had to break my MUST-DO post into two segments. Last week, I posted about the Best Big Island Beaches, and today I am writing about the Best Big Island activities!

It’s been over a year since we have traveled to Hawaii and not a day goes by where we don’t talk about that trip! It was truly amazing in every way you dream about a 3-week trip to this magical state. For me, the biggest highlight of the vacation was the incredible Big Island beaches.
A vacation to Hawaii took a lot of planning and I wanted to get the most out of our time on each island. I am so excited to share our best tips and help other folks plan their awesome Hawaiian adventures! This spring, my kids had quite the long spring break – 7 days off of school! I’m not going to lie, I looked into going back to Naples or Orlando, but the flights were so astronomical.We had an overnight planned but the remaining days we spent close to home, a stay-cation if you will. I had planned out several activities that I knew my kids would like (and wrote about them here). On the last day of vacation, we planned a day trip to Manhattan to see dad’s office, have a fancy lunch and to visit the Museum of Mathematics.

For my fortieth birthday, my sister, aunt, uncle and I headed to Northern Italy for a week of sightseeing, eating and celebrating. We were based in the small town of Lecco, situated on Lake Como. Each day we ventured out on various trips, and my favorite was our Verona Day Trip.

This spring we will be so busy with the kids’ sports (baseball and golf), special occasions (Communion, Mother’s Day, family birthdays) and end of school events. I literally just sat down with my Cozi app, school calendar and sports schedules to see if I could get ahead of the game! So this upcoming week, when the kids are off for Easter and Passover, I am super excited to have whole days available to plan fun local outings! Most of the time, I write about family friendly getaways, and fun things to do with kids. I hate the winter. I hate the cold, and the snow, and temperatures that prevent outdoor activity. I love the warm, and the sun, and to be outside as much as possible. So to combat the winter blues, I’ve realized that I need to head south several times each winter.

I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Orlando twice in the last two months. Both trips were awesome and I love that we got to experience some of the lesser known attractions. Yes, most people head to Orlando for Disney or Universal but there are lots of things to do in Orlando besides Walt Disney World!
