Everyone wants to go to a Beaches Resort. They are fabulous and truly a luxury all-inclusive experience for your family. But Beaches Resorts do command quite a price and although there are not too many ways to snag deals for these resorts, there are a few ways you can save money on your Beaches vacation. As a full service travel agent who books hundreds of families to Beaches, I am excited to share with you how to get the best deal at a Beaches Resort

How to Get the Best Deal at a Beaches Resort

 

Beaches Resorts, located in Turks and Caicos, Negril and Ochos Rios Jamaica have really set the standard for family all-inclusive travel. And remember, you want for nothing during your Beaches Vacation. While on site, you won’t open your wallet once.

That’s right, at Beaches Resorts, no tipping, all restaurants, activities, SCUBA (for certified divers), alcohol, non-motorized water sports, golf (at Beaches Ocho Rios) and daily snorkeling trips are all included.

So that is worth mentioning as you do pay a higher up front cost than at other resorts, but much more is included!

Also Beaches Resorts you CANNOT book for a discount through a third party site. In fact, the best rates are ALWAYS by booking directly with Beaches. AND you do NOT pay more for your room if you book with a Certified Sandals Specialist like myself. Beaches pays me a small commission after you travel, at no extra cost to you.

That’s right – if you book without a travel agent, you pay the same, get LESS in terms of personalized service, and you are completely on your own to figure everything out.

So that saves you time, and time is money.

But a stay at Beaches can command over $1000/night, even for the standard room, so for many families they need some ways to lower the cost to make this amazing trip a financial reality. Since I know booking these resorts inside and out, I am going to share with you some ways to get the best deal at a Beaches Resort.

13 Ways to Get the Best Deal at a Beaches Resort

Beaches Resorts Military/Service Personnel Discount – I just said above Beaches does not offer discounts, the military or service personnel discount is the ONLY exception. The discount is 10% off your room rate and is applied after you deposit on your booking. You do need to submit paper work (military ID, discharge papers, etc.) before arrival AND on site to receive the discount. Only the room in which the military member is staying can qualify for the discount.

 

Book Beaches Resorts 18 – 24+ Months in Advance – This is especially true if you are a first time guest and are traveling during a peak week. Pricing for Beaches is very simple. The less rooms that are left, the more expensive they are. They do not offer last minute discounts and with only a $400 refundable deposit due to book, might as well lock in your space 1.5 to two years in advance.

Book on Site at Beaches Loyalty and Travel – Again, Beaches Resorts does not offer discounts, BUT they do if you book your next vacation while on site. Just pop into the Loyalty and Travel office and for a $350 (non-refundable) deposit, you can lock in up to a 12% discount on your next trip.

Not 100% sure when you can travel next? No worries – you can move your initial Loyalty and Travel reservation up to a year from your original travel date and keep the discount. You can even change resorts.

 

Sign up for Sandals Select Rewards – Again, loyalty to the brand does have its rewards. Once you stay your first time, and enroll in their loyalty program, you can accrue points to redeem for dollars off your next stay.

 

Travel to a Beaches Resort in the off Season – For Beaches Resorts, if you can travel in the off season you will have better availability and prices for your trip. The best months to travel, price wise are May (after Easter but before Memorial Day weekend) and then mid-August to Thanksgiving (minus any long weekends). September in particular seems to have the best prices for Beaches Resorts.

 

 

Start off at Beaches Ocho Rios and Work your Way Up – There are three great Beaches Resorts and each varies in size, vibe, and price point. I love all three properties but like to consider Beaches Ocho Rios the starter Beaches.

It’s a smaller, more intimate property in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, with a small beach, golf included, and the largest waterpark in Jamaica. The price point is significantly lower than what you would pay in Turks and Caicos, or even Beaches Negril, so if your budget is tighter, consider a stay at Ocho Rios first.

Once you have booked for Beaches Ocho Rios, you can book Beaches Negril or Beaches Turks and Caicos for your next trip at Loyalty and Travel AND accrue some Sandals Select points on your first stay, to redeem on your next trip.

 

Keep an eye on the 777 Deals – Every Wednesday, Beaches (and Sandals Resorts) puts out a list of seven rooms on their 777 deals.  If you have already booked and your room category goes on sale, it can be repriced, as long as it’s not past your final payment date.

The only caveat to the 777 sale, is ALL peak travel times (Christmas, spring breaks, summer, Thanksgiving) are blacked out from the 777 sale.

Free Anniversary Night – Yes, if you are celebrating your anniversary and staying 7+ nights in a butler or concierge level room, you can apply for a free anniversary night. Unfortunately this is not combinable with a Loyalty and Travel Booking. When you book your Beaches or Sandals vacation with me, I can help you apply for the free anniversary night.

 

Consider a Luxury Level Room – The lead in room categories at Beaches Resorts are called luxury level rooms. They are the standard hotel rooms, that have everything you need for a great stay. Remember, at a Beaches Resort, everyone, no matter what room they are staying in, has access to everything on property (the only exception is the concierge lounge, which is for concierge or Beaches butler level guests).

So consider a stay in a luxury room, you are at the same great resort as the family in the top suite!

 

Contract a Group – Okay so this is clearly not going to be for everyone, but if you are looking for a Beaches Resort Destination Wedding or larger group trip, and are concerned about the price point for your guests, you can get a DEEP discount if you contract the rooms (discount amount also depends on dates you book). This is for groups of 25+ rooms or more. I can definitely assist with all your Beaches Weddings or Groups.

 

Stay 70 nights – Again, not everyone is going to make it to this level, but once you have 70 paid nights traveled at Beaches and Sandals Resorts, you earn a FREE WEEK. Yes, it is 100% FREE, I do have clients who have achieved this status!

 

Stay at a Sandals Resort– If you are two adults, and don’t mind sharing a king bed – book a stay at Sandals instead. The rooms at Sandals are priced for two adults. At Beaches, two guests end up paying a premium for sure. The only exception to this would be if you REALLY want to visit Turks and Caicos as there are no Sandals Resorts there. But they do have amazing adults only properties in Antigua, Barbados, the Bahamas, Curacao, seven resorts in Jamaica, St. Vincent, Three Sandals in St. Lucia, and Sandals Grenada.

Here is the list of promos you can combine (of course accurate at the time of this writing, but always subject to change) which will really give you that best deal on at a Beaches Resort.

The Loyalty and Travel discount can be combined with a Beaches 777 discount, service personal discount, and you can use your Sandals Select Points on loyalty and travel bookings.

The Free Anniversary Night can be combined with a 777 discount, service personal discount, and you can use your Sandals Select Points.
