As a full service travel agent, and Certified Sandals Specialist, I book a ton of lucky families to Beaches Turks and Caicos. I wrote the Ultimate Guide to Every Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos – but Italian Village remains a fan (and personal) favorite so I wanted to share more about why so many families love the Italian village at Beaches Turks and Caicos.

Italian Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos

Beaches Turks and Caicos: Italian Village Review

Where is Beaches Turks and Caicos?

Beaches Turks and Caicos is a family friendly, luxury all-inclusive resort on the gorgeous island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos. This is the family friendly resort in the Sandals brand. Their other two family resorts are in Jamaica, Beaches Negril and Beaches Ocho Rios.

What is the Italian Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos

Beaches Turks and Caicos’ has five distinct villages, each with their own price point, vibe, décor, restaurants, pools, bars, and amenities. The Italian Village is located between Key West Village and Caribbean Village, close to the beach.

Since the large pool, with the fun swim up bar is located here, it’s really the heart of the resort. This village reminds me of Mediterranean Village at Sandals Grande Antigua.

Beaches Turks and Caicos Italian Village Rooms

There are two types of rooms in the Italian Village – concierge level and butler suites. The concierge Rooms in the Italian Village are all the same interior layout – they just vary in views and resort location.

Concierge level rooms come with access to the concierge lounge (located right in the Italian Village), bathrobes and slippers, in room spirits (as opposed to just beer, wine, soda, juice and water in the luxury level rooms) and invitations to various concierge level events such as cocktail parties and snorkeling trips.

The rooms themselves all have a kids bunk bed room right as you enter. Here there are twin bunk beds, a trundle, TV, shelves, a sink and closet.

The kids’ room closes off to the primary bedroom which has a king bed, balcony, dresser, sofa sleeper chair (sleeps one), more closets, and the one bathroom.

The bathrooms in Italian Village have a separate shower and larger soaking tub.

The decor in the Italian Village is traditional Caribbean, with the large wood furnishings.

The Beaches butler level suites have the same layout as the concierge level rooms, but with the addition of a parlor suite attached. The parlor suites contain a living room, dining room, kitchen and second full bathroom.

And of course the butler level rooms come with amazing 24 hour butler service, and 24 hour room service.

Beaches Turks and Caicos Italian Village Room Categories

In the Beaches Turks and Caicos Italian Village, there are 14 different room categories, concierge and butler level.

In the butler level, you have:

Garden View Two Bedroom,  on the second floor of Pisa and San Marino buildings.

Ocean View Two Bedroom, on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Pisa and San Marino buildings.

Poolside Walkout Two Bedroom, 1st floor of the Pisa and San Marino buildings.

Penthouse Ocean View Two Bedroom, 5th and 6th floors of the Pisa and San Marino buildings.

Beachfront Two Bedroom, 2nd, 3rd, 4th floors of the Capri Buildings.

These rooms sleep 10 – 12 persons and vary from 1152 to 1368 square feet.

What I don’t love about these rooms is there are only proper beds for four guests (the king bed in the primary bedroom and the two twin bunk beds). The remainder of the guests are accommodated on a trundle in the kids’ room, and sofa beds/day beds.

These rooms are great for families with 3, 4, 5+ children, who don’t mind sleeping on sofa beds. Not great for multi-generation travel or two families traveling together. For those groups I would recommend two concierge Italian Village Rooms OR the Seaside Village two bedroom OR Key West Village two, three or four bedroom villas.

In the concierge level, you have:

Garden View, Second Floor of the Positano, Milano, Tivoli, Pompeii, Pisa and San Marino Buildings

Ocean View, 3rd and 4th Floors of the Pompeii, Pisa, and San Marino Buildings

Poolside Walkouts, 1st Floor of the Positano, Milano, Tivoli, Pompeii, Pisa and San Marino Buildings

Penthouse Ocean View, 5th and 6th Floor of the Pompeii, Pisa and San Marino Buildings

Oceanfront, 2nd Floor of the Amalfi Building and 2, 3, 4th Floors of the Capri Buildings

Penthouse Oceanfront, 5th and 6th Floor of Capri Buildings

Oceanfront Walkout, 1st Floor of Amalfi and Capri Buildings

These rooms sleep 6 – 8 guests and vary from 640 square feet to 720 square feet.

These rooms are fantastic for a family with 2 – 4 children. For couples, or families of three guests, you are paying a premium for the larger unit. A double or triple would get a better value in a Key West concierge room or one-bedroom suite.

Beaches Turks and Caicos Italian Village Restaurants

Now I should remind guests that all guests have full resort access at Beaches Turks and Caicos’ (the one except the concierge lounge which is just for concierge and butler level guests and the adults only spaces).

The Italian Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos is home several restaurants:

Mario’s – Italian restaurant that has a great appetizer buffet and an ala carte menu for dinner. Open for a buffet breakfast and lunch as well. You can dine indoors or out on the patio.

Barefoot by the Sea – Dine on the sand with bare feet. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Dino’s Pizzeria – In the courtyard for made to order pizzas. Open generally from 11am – 5pm, daily.

Bombay – Indian cuisine, open for dinner only.

This is also where you find the Cricketer’s pub, which is open until 2am. A great place for late night food, drinks, pool and entertainment.

Beaches Turks and Caicos Italian Village Pro Tip – Almost weekly, there is an Italian Village room offered on the 777 deal – you can snag a great price if you are not traveling during a peak week. And bonus, rooms CAN be repriced as long as not paid in full. Yes, it is possible to find a great deal on your Beaches Vacation.

Beaches Turks and Caicos Italian Village Shops

In the Italian Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos is where you will find the row of shops. Here you have the Beaches wedding office, a candy shop, the resort shop and a coffee shop (coming soon).

My Favorite Room Category in the Italian Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos

Again, the rooms are all the same in layout, but there are two in particular I just love and highly recommend to my clients.

In the Butler category, you CANNOT beat the views from the Oceanfront Penthouse balconies – probably the best views in the Caribbean!

In the concierge level, the poolside walkout is a popular option. With a ground floor patio, walking right out to the pool, no need to fight for beach chairs, you have your own terrace adjacent to the Italian Village pool!

Beaches Turks and Caicos Italian Village Review

On my first visit to Beaches Turks, I stayed in an Italian Village Garden View room. I love the separate kids’ spaces – and with real beds for four guests. In the one bedroom units in Key West and Seaside Village, the third, fourth and fifth guests are on a day bed/trundle and then a rollaway or murphy bed.

It would be nice if these units had a second bathroom, but at least there are multiple closets and that extra sink.

And as far as resort location, you can’t beat it – the Italian Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos is close to the beach, close to the waterpark, really at the heart of it all, and that close proximity to the best pool on property.
